Modern hospitality
Professionalism is measured by how people feel.
Warmth and precision belong together. Every guest should feel considered, every client respected and every promise kept.
About Janine & Compass

A wider view of hospitality
Janine Freisberg built her perspective over more than 15 years across hospitality, sales, operations, leadership and events. Her training began in Switzerland, and her work took her through South Africa, Australia, the Caribbean, Germany and, ultimately, Canada.
Different cultures and styles of service reinforced the same enduring truth: memorable hospitality feels authentic. It comes from listening closely, keeping your word, noticing what others miss and treating people with genuine respect.
That philosophy became Compass Event Management in 2026. It brings together international hospitality insight, senior operational experience and the practical perspective gained from producing hundreds of corporate, private and community events, including approximately 25 weddings.
The goal is an event that feels effortless, especially to the people hosting it. The most important work often happens quietly: anticipating a need, solving a problem before it travels and keeping dozens of moving parts aligned.
That is modern hospitality. That is the direction behind Compass.
